I often find myself in a self-defeating state when I get a tattoo. The reason is that once I start taking the time to look at it, I become more and more aware of my thoughts and feelings about it. This feeling is one that I get when I see ink on my skin. I want to do this as little as possible because I know that this is not the place I am supposed to be.

In a way, this is also the state that the protagonist of the film The Tattoo Artist is in. The film, about a young man who gets a tattoo when he’s just 14 years old, deals with the idea of the mind fading away into the past. Once this happens, however, we are left with tattooed people who are still living in the present and not in the past.

When I think about tattoo removal, I think of the artist who removed my tattoo in college. I do not remember removing it but the pain was excruciating. I had to get an appointment right away to get the blood out of my skin. That makes me think of tattoo removal as one of those things that only happens to me, but I am also aware that it is a very common experience for other people.

Unfortunately, the word “tattoo” has a very broad definition. For most people it is a permanent marking on the body; for some it is a sign of a past injury. Tattoos are not a permanent mark, and they can also change as time progresses.

Tattoos can last for years. I know that is not an excuse, but it is true. For most people what we have done is remove a tattoo with a tattoo removal solution that penetrates the skin. This is an invasive procedure that requires you to have your skin ripped open and cleaned. These tattoos, in the end, are just a sign of a past injury or illness.

The tattoo removal process requires that the tattoo be removed from your body. Tattoos are not supposed to last forever. They are supposed to be removed and never forgotten.

My first tattoo was in high school. It was a picture of a cow, covered in green dots. It was the only one of its kind in my entire state of Ohio. The next year my parents got a new tattoo, this one was a picture of a cow, covered in red dots, and it was a new one. Years later I was told that I had a third tattoo on my right forearm. It was a picture of a cow, covered in red dots.

Not much else in the way of information is available about what went on with the third tattoo. But if you’ve got a tattoo, I hope you’re not one of the cow-faced people in the pictures. You’re in for a rough ride.

In August of 2009, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation Services raided the tattoo shop of an ex-biker named Joe Kostas. Kostas was known for his red cow tattoo, and the raid was one of the first cases of his shop being raided in the state. Kostas was charged with aggravated trespass to land. A few days later, he was found dead in his home, with a gunshot to his head. Police said he had been shot accidentally.
