I think it is a bad idea to go without alcohol before you get a tattoo. I dont think it is something you should do without prior knowledge, and at one point, drinking alcohol before a tattoo was illegal (i.e. drinking beer, wine, or vodka before a tattoo). I agree with this statement. For me, it is definitely a bad idea to get a tattoo while drunk. I was only drunk for a week and didn’t do anything illegal and I didn’t get arrested or anything. I also wasn’t planning on getting drunk that week, either. I just went for it and did it.

I think you can get away with a tattoo while intoxicated because the blood flow is slowed and you will not get arrested, but it is a very dangerous situation.

I am not advocating that everyone get drunk before tattooing. Some people do it all the time, and some even do the tattoo while drunk.
